TUSCANY, UMBRIA AND A BIT OF LATIUM BY DRIVING A FERRARI
Land in Bologna. Private pick up at the airport and transfer to the accomodation in Modena, the town where
Enzo Ferrari was born and started his great adventure. Modena is considered the capital of the so called
Motors Land and also hosts Maserati factory. As regards to art, Modena's cathedral has been included by
UNESCO in the list of Cultural Heritage of Humanity and the historical center is full of nice shops, cafès and
restaurants. Overnight stay in Modena.

Breakfast. Meeting and delivery of the car as agreed. Briefing about how to manage the car then get on
board to reach Maranello and drive the dream-car at her home passing in front of Wind Tunnel designed by
Renzo Piano and the Fiorano track where Ferrari pilots test the single-seater Formula 1 and the new born
Ferraris. Admittance to Ferrari museum, constantly updated by new trophies, cars and memorabilia such as
the office of Enzo Ferrari and his first cheque... Break at Ferrari Store in front of Ferrari factory for some
official shopping then enjoy a tasteful lunch at one of the motors’ restaurants of the area. After lunch, get on
board to enjoy a panoramic route connecting Emilia and Tuscany, chosen in past times for famous car and
bike races. Along the road several spots for nice photos such as the board sign remembering the historical
car race Mille Miglia or, while approaching Florence, at the beautiful view of the town and its dome.

Breakfast. Enjoy the car driving through Chiantishire. The landscape features hills, fields, rows of vines and
olive-groves and it looks still the same of the paintings of the 15th century paintings: dotted with farmhouses,
villas, castles and turreted hamlets. In the 13th century, when struggles among one village and another where
so often, a territory including more or less the small towns of Radda, Gaiole and Castellina was put together
forming an alliance called “Lega del Chianti” (Chianti league) having a “gallo nero” (black cock) as its
emblem. The “Gallo Nero” is nowadays the symbol of the “Consorzio del Chianti” (Chianti wine union).
During your tour you may get the occasion to have a break in San Gimignano the nice town included by
UNESCO in the World’s Heritage list and famous thanks to its 14 ancient towers giving the town the
nickname of “Manhattan of Middle Ages”. Overnight stay in the countryside between Florence and Siena.

Breakfast. From Tuscany you will reach Umbria bordering Trasimeno lake till the beautiful area of Perugia
and Assisi, characterized by green hills and mountains, cities of art and small ancient villages such as Spello
with its city walls and Roman remains or Montefalco standing on the top of a hill and renowned thanks to its
Sagrantino wine. Among the specialities of the area to be remembered the precious white and black truffles.
Overnight stay in Perugia - Assisi area.
Breakfast. You may spend the day driving up and down the Umbrian hills having some breaks in art cities
such as Assisi and Perugia; reaching Spoleto with its Romanesque cathedral, the Romans’ remains, and the
stunning aqueduct… Having a break in Deruta renowned for its ceramic tradition, Bettona with its mix of
Etruscan and Medieval witnesses and Bevagna keeping important remains of the Roman civilization.
A relaxing massage or sauna complete the day. Overnight stay in Perugia - Assisi area.

Breakfast. Drive from Umbria to Latium, core of the ancient Roman Empire. Crossing the countryside the list
of panoramic routes till the Thyrrenian coast is endless. The coastal area between Tuscany and Latium was
once inhabited by Etrurians, a misterious civilization that has left important remains such as in Cerveteri and
Tarquina characterized by round hills hiding monumental tombs decorated by rich paintings. Overnight stay
on the Thyrrenian coast.
Breakfast. Time at your disposal to explore the surrounding area, visiting the Etruscan remains, having a tour
around Bracciano lake, or just relaxing at the seaside or by a massage or beauty treatment.
